Are You Ashamed?

For whomsoever shall be ashamed of Me and My words of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when the Lord shall come in His glory and in the glory of The Father and of the Holy Angels.Luke 9-26

What do we need to not be ashamed of the gospel of Christ?

Romans 5-5-9....And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.For when we were without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet peradventure for a good man some even dare to die. But God commendeth His love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then,being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.

How do we get hope?


Romans 5-1-5...Therefore being justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: by whom also we have access to by faith into wherein and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.And not only so but we glory in tribulation also; knowing that tribulation worketh patience; and patience, experience; and experience hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

Should we be ashamed to boast about the truth of the gospel and the obedience and the faith of those who obey the truth of the gospel?

For if I have boasted any thing to Him of you, I am not ashamed; but as we spoke all things to you in truth, even so our boasting, which I made before Titus, is found a truth.2nd Corinthians 7-14

Should we boast of our own good works?

Proverbs 27-2......Let another praise thee and not thine own mouth; a stranger and not thine own lips....Matthew 6-1-6 "Take heed that you do not your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in Heaven.Therefore thou doest thine alms do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men.Verily I say unto you they have their reward."But you when you pray, go into your room and when you have closed your door , pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly."

Do you feel that, God is partial, only to the Jews; therefore He must be an unfair God?

Romans 10-11-12....For the scripture says,"who-ever believes on Him will not be put to shame." For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek For the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For "whoever calls on the Name of The Lord shall be saved."

How should we respond to the gospel of Christ?

Phillipians 1-20-21....according to my ernest expectation and hope that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but with all boldness, so that now as always, Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death.For me to live is Christ and to die is gain.

1st. Corinthians 13-1-7... Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a re-sounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love I gain nothing. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast,it is not proud. It is not rude. It is not self seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Verses 12-13....For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.And now abide faith, hope and charity, these three but the greatest of these is Charity (Love).

2nd Timothy 2-15....Be diligent to present yourself approved unto God, a worker, who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the truth.
